St. Mike's Endoscopy Course

  • To summarize latest advances in interventional endoscopy displayed at the St Michael’s Therapeutic Endoscopy Course, with a specific focus the fields of:
  • Interventional EUS (biliary drainage and enteric bypass; RFA)
  • ERCP 
  • Advanced resection techniques and third space endoscopy

Dr. Jeff Mosko MD, MSc, FRCPC

Dr. Jeffrey Mosko is an associate professor of medicine and a clinician in quality and innovation at St. Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto. He is a co-director of the advanced endoscopy fellowship and the International Course on Therapeutic Endoscopy. He is the chair of endoscopy for the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology. His clinical expertise is in both luminal and pancreaticobiliary advanced endoscopy. His research interests are in quality improvement in endoscopy.

Dr. Natalia C. Calo is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and a therapeutic endoscopist at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, where her clinical focus is the care of patients with pancreaticobiliary disease. She completed a two-year fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at St. Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto, where she served as Chief Fellow. Before joining the group at St. Michael’s Hospital, she was Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and a therapeutic endoscopist at The Ottawa Hospital. 

Dr. Calo’s research interests focus on patient-centered outcomes in therapeutic endoscopy and quality improvement in gastrointestinal endoscopy, with particular attention to complications of pancreatitis and the impact of endoscopy in high-risk patients. In addition to her clinical and research activities, Dr. Calo is the co-director of the St. Michael’s Therapeutic Endoscopy Course, where she helps train and mentor the next generation of endoscopists.
